Emailing and messaging
Whilst emailing and messaging are important for an SEO Analyst, they are the bane of every SEO Analyst’s daily tasks. What we want to focus on is the optimisation of the client’s online channels instead of having to reply and read a plethora of emails and messages from clients and colleagues.
Internal and external calls
In order for everyone in the SEO team to understand how each other and the campaigns are getting on, there is a meeting to provide insights so that the higher-ups get a grasp on the progress.
These calls aren’t just for campaign checks, they are also a useful tool for offering help and suggestions from those with a different perspective or expertise. Collaborating allows you to gain extra insights which can help your campaign.
Client account management
Some SEO Analysts are in control of a large number of clients like 20 or so while some are in charge of a few. These roles differ because of the number of responsibilities that the SEO Analyst is given.
As I am writing this, I am in charge of 18 clients with monthly spending ranging from £799 to £2000 per month. It would be a challenge to maintain these accounts due to the sheer number of tasks needed to fulfill the contract which is why I have a proxy team who complete the tasks.
Most of my day is spent reviewing their work and either approve it for them to implement on-site or for me to send it to the client for them to review and implement.
Training
The learning and development of the SEO team is important for the future progression of the company which is why training is conducted weekly to provide insights and tips for everyone to learn and improve their SEO knowledge.
